Curriculum

This curriculum development project translates the rhetorical teachings of Hugh Blair into an accessible and classroom-ready lesson plan for K–12 students. It draws from Blair’s emphasis on “taste," the ability to judge effective and appropriate communication. The curriculum adapts eighteenth-century rhetorical theory into modern, student-centered learning experiences.

Designed with both academic rigor and practical usability in mind, this curriculum provides educators with a structured, printable lesson plan that requires minimal preparation while remaining adaptable across multiple grade levels. It incorporates interactive activities, discussion-based learning, and digital engagement.

Ultimately, this curriculum aims to equip students with the skills to communicate effectively and think critically about the messages they encounter.
